This is a known limitation and a regression from 8.6.14 to 9.1.1, likely due to stricter arg handling in Docs rendering logic. The official docs recommend only using JSON-serializable values for args, especially for anything shown in Docs tables or controls, and to use mapping or custom controls for more complex values like ReactNode [see docs](https://storybook.js.org/docs/writing-stories/stories-for-multiple-components). There's an open pull request to improve this by allowing primitive values to pass through for ReactNode arg types, but it's not merged or released yet ([PR #31931](https://github.com/storybookjs/storybook/pull/31931)).
