Display of `show-whitespace` for comments is hard to distinguish from code #3375

The non-trailing whitespace now feels pretty distracting, to the point that it's very close to the syntax highlighting of comments.

For example, looking at a PR diff with version 20.7.19:

Looking at recent history, this may be related to #3292.

@notlmn can you use the previous color as requested here?

We are using the same color, and with the same opacity of 0.5, but considering the weight of the SVG path being used is a bit thick, we could get that opacity down to 0.1 or 0.2.

The color was the same, but the opacity wasn't, so the resulting color wasn't
