Deleting files from 'Project' panel #3445

ChristianPervoelz posted onGitHub

May I missed it, but until now I haven't found such an option, or was it maybe considered already and then dropped? (just to lazy to search all the 1500+ entries)

It would be awesome to delete files directly from the 'Projects' panel.

Reasons:

  • Sometimes users create files just to play around with stuff. If a user wants to proceed next day, the files must be stored. But when testing/playing phase is over, these files just hang around there.
  • May a file is not in use anymore, because the project changed its direction or the data in the file was moved to another file
  • Currently such files can be deleted only with a file manager (or did I missed the option?), which could be pretty time consuming, when switching from Tiled (to see what the file contains and how it is named) to the manager and back

I know there might be dependencies with other files in the project, but these seems to be checked on restart, so they could be checked while deleting too.
