Feature Request
Hi,
I've used Boostnote for a while. Sometimes, the newer version is worst than the older one. So I make a request for the Boostnote's feature. Currently, updated version is automatically download and Boostnote will install the updated version when users accept OR after turn off and on Boostnote, which is compulsory. Could we change it to optional? User can choose to stay in the older version instead of installing the latest one.

yes, and I'd like to see the current version number in the "help" menu.

I just downloaded the app and uninstalled it because of this reason. It asked me every hour to update. It pulled me out of my focus.

On Windows at least, my workaround consisted in going to C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Local\boost and delete the latest folder, the one that had been downloaded by the Squirrel updater. In my case, the initially working version was in folder "app-0.12.1", I deleted the "app-0.13.0" folder, and restarted the computer.
The next time I launched the app, the updater did get the 0.13.0 version again and was successful in updating it.
Hope this helps.

Was it implemented? Is there a way to disable auto updater?

This feature hasn't been merged into master yet. I do, however, expect it to be merged soon, so then it will be part of the next release.

How will it work? Will we have Check Box in preferences to enable or disable auto update?
